MINI LESSON

ACTIONS EDITOR • FUNCTIONAL EXAMPLE OF EACH ACTION

The Actions Editor contains a catalog of actions that you can use to add custom behaviors to your lessons.

This section of the Knowledge Base is intended to show you functional examples of each of the Actions offered within the Actions Editor. You will find those individual examples in the 7 sections (General, Object, Prompts, Navigation, Scoring/Tracking, Media, Control).

USEFUL TRAINING AIDS FOR THE ACTIONS EDITOR

USING IN-PLACE EDITING VS. USING THE PROPERTY EDITOR

By default the in-place editing feature of the Actions Editor is enabled, which allows you to configure an Action by choosing various underlined options directly on the Action line. This feature makes quick work of configuring the most common options.

However for any Action which has options you can also open a full Property Editor for that Action to configure ALL of the various options.

You'll often find there are more options which can be defined within the full Property Editor, than can be shown in the in-place view for that same action.

To open the full Property Editor for any give action, do the following:

  1. Add the appropriate action to your programming window
  2. Click on the Action, within your programming window, so that it becomes selected (highlighted)
  3. Press Enter (or click the Properties icon on the Actions Editor tool bar)

Here is an example of a full editor for the Set Property action.
