Sending a file to Technical Support

SENDING US A FILE

Sometimes it is necessary for the Technical Support staff to analyze certain files from your computer in order to assist you in troubleshooting a technical issue.

If you have been instructed by a Technical Support Representative to send us your file(s) please do so using one of the following methods.

However, regardless of method, please ensure you ZIP all of your files up into a single zip file. This not only makes the upload file much smaller it also makes the upload process faster as well.

OPTION 1 - USING EMAIL

If your ZIPPED attachment is less than 20 MB, feel free to send your file in a reply email.

Please ZIP up your file(s) into a single zip file and then attach it to a REPLY email to your support tech.

This option is typically handy for sending a few screenshots or a small file.

OPTION 2 - USING MICROSOFT ONEDRIVE

Microsoft OneDrive is a Secure File Transfer Service used by SumTotal. We can use this service to allow you to send us files of virtually unlimited size.

If you would like to use this option, let your Technical Support representative know you'd like to send your large file using OneDrive, and the representative will coordinate this with you.
