A description of the features added in the ToolBook 11 release is available in Help. To access Help, click on ToolBook’s Help menu and then select “Help Contents.” Select the “What's New, What's Different” Help topic to view detailed information on the new features and enhancements.
Enhancements to the Draw Objects within ToolBook 11 changes how ToolBook handles transparency of Draw Objects. Not only will Draw Objects now draw much cleaner/smoother lines, but the Transparency of those objects (and the color blending) is now drawn on par with industry standards.
The ToolBook product installer will install .NET 4 in order to provide the foundation needed to display the new Question Wizard in ToolBook.
Under 64-bit Office 2010, it is not possible to install the PowerPoint add-in that publishes presentations to ToolBook. The add-in is supported by Office 2007 and the 32-bit version of Office 2010.
SumTotal offers a ToolBook installer in MSI format. The MSI installer is intended to facilitate remote installations of ToolBook by IT organizations.
Starting with version 11, Neuron has been retired and is no longer offered as a component of ToolBook. The Runtime Engine for ToolBook is now found in a new installer named TBRUNTIME110.EXE.
Administrative Rights are required to properly install and activate your copy of ToolBook. Administrative Rights are also needed to fully use the ToolBook software - those lacking these rights will find that the Catalog will not be able to save changes made to it. Granting the user WRITE access to the following folder will allow the catalog to function as needed, even when not an Administrator:
C:\Program Files\ToolBook\ToolBook 11.0\
