The SumTotal Publish to ToolBook add-in is not showing up on the ribbon bar
This article is only for PowerPoint 2007 users. If you are using PowerPoint 2010 or higher, click here.
SumTotal considers PowerPoint 2013 and higher unsupported. Because PowerPoint 2013 shipped after ToolBook 11.5 shipped, this means that SumTotal was unable to conduct official testing with PowerPoint 2013, before ToolBook 11.5 shipped. What we have since discovered is that the installer for the SumTotal Publish to ToolBook add-in does not recognize PowerPoint 2013, and therefore will not install the add-in. At present the only way to get PowerPoint 2013 to utilize the SumTotal Publish to ToolBook add-in is to first install PowerPoint 2007 or 2010, then install the SumTotal Publish to ToolBook add-in, and then upgrade your installation of PowerPoint to the 2013 version. This process appears to leave the already installed SumTotal Publish to ToolBook add-in in place and allows you utilize it within PowerPoint 2013. There are no current plans to patch ToolBook to work with PowerPoint 2013 and higher.
I've installed the SumTotal Publish to ToolBook add-in, but I don't see it on the ribbon bar within PowerPoint 2007.
